The bacteria responsible for halitosis (bad breath) have to be there, they can not be removed permanently. The bacteria reproduce every 10-12 hours and that is why the treatment must be done throughout the day. If you stop, the problems will come back again, because the bacteria will recognize the difference within a few days.
The only way to effectively stop these bacteria from producing these Volatile Sulfur Compounds is to use an Oxyd-8 based product. No other compounds will perform this action.
You could compare it to tooth brushing: it prevents from dental caries, but there's no use to do it only once - repeated brushing will do the job. As matter of fact, the Tetrobreath treatment is a short, little time consuming and not unpleasant ritual, just as tooth brushing is. The products were designed to become your daily oral hygiene system. And with tooth whitening (TheraBrite) and periodontal treatments (PerioTherapy) as part of our entire system, you'll never need to use other products.
After several months, there is a residual effect, whereby Tetrobreath has a longer lasting feeling.

Can you tell me the cheapest, most economic and most performing way to solve bad breath problems?
How much will I spend when using Tetrobreath?
There's a very simple way to spend app. 1 EURO per day to get rid of your breath problems: the products that are of vital importance for the Tetrobreath method are: (1) the Tetrobreath Oral Rinse and (2) the Tetrobreath Toothpaste (Gel). Many customers use in general 2 bottles of rinse and two thirds of a toothpaste per month. It's less than 1 EURO every day. You also need a tongue scraper (one time expenditure) and a toothbrush and dental floss. You don't have to use TOO MUCH each time; don't spill our valuable product - small portions will do the job.
This is how it works: the only way to effectively stop the bacteria from producing these smelling Volatile Sulfur Compounds (VCS), is to use an Oxyd-8 based product. No other compounds will perform this action. Apply Tetrobreath in the oral cavity: more specific, by using the Tongue cleaner, apply a thin coating of toothpaste to the back of your tongue as far back as possible without gagging. (For most people as a sign for these VCS a white or even yellow layer is noticed on the back of the tongue). Also, by brushing the teeth, tongue, palate, and inside of your cheeks, with a MINIMAL quantity of Toothpaste (Gel), you'll reach the other spots in the oral cavity. You should try for yourself which is easiest for you to reach the back of your tongue. The other parts (back of the throat) can only be reached by gargling - use our mouthwash "Tetrobreath Oral Rinse", again a minimal quantity will do. We recommend to do this 3 times a day, some customers are able to get by with performing the procedure only twice daily, however, for the best results, most perform the procedures three times daily. (The effect of our products lasts between 4 - 8 hours, after several months, there is a residual effect, whereby the formulas have a longer lasting feeling.). Anyone could try for himself his or her 'most economic' use of our products and could start with minimal quantities of our basic products. Many customers use in general 2 bottles of rinse and two thirds of a toothpaste per month.
If you need to use something in the middle of the day, we would suggest you try our new ZOX mints. They are very affordable and they are the longest, lasting breath protection that we have in a 'quick to use' format.

Can I still use my regular toothpaste and mouthwash if I use Tetrobreath?
Absolutely not. Almost all commercial toothpaste's contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SOAP), placed in toothpaste in order to create a foaming action, so that you think that something is actually happening. It has no beneficial effects at all. Unfortunately it will also inhibit the potency of the active ingredients.
Secondly, almost all mouthwashes contain alcohol. And as you know alcohol makes the mouth drier, which will then make the breath and taste worse. This will negate the benefits of the oxidation process. Tetrobreath Oral Rinse and Toothpaste were designed to replace all of those old-fashioned 19th century formulas that make your mouth dry.
However, we made sure to include all of the good stuff your dentist wants you to use:
Our Toothpaste comes in both a Sodium Fluoride version and a NON-Fluoride version
Our Toothpaste does not contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate - the harsh detergent linked to canker sores and dry mouth.

Tetrobreath products offer new confidence for 4-8 hours, depending on every single case. Tetrobreath Products have immediate effect when used. During the day & on the road you may want to use Tetrobreath Chewing Gum, Power Drops, BreathSpray or ZOX to perpetuate the morning treatment.
The 3 times a day application depends on every single case: one treatment lasts for 4 to 8 hours or longer for some cases. To check the condition of your breath, read "how can I test my own breath"
Most people will look at the color of the tongue, as a sign of the condition of their breath.

When will the white coating on my tongue disappear?
The white coating that you are talking about is normally a sign of bad breath. It is actually a collection of sulfur compounds, which include Hydrogen Sulfide (the rotten egg smell) and other odorous and lousy tasting chemicals. If the coating starts to turn yellow, it's an indication that your problem is chronic (sulfur is yellow in color.)
Under normal conditions, white or yellow coating disappears within half an hour after having used Tetrobreath. However, make sure that you have been brushing your tongue, teeth, tongue, palate, and inside of your cheeks with Tetrobreath Tooth Gel, as well that you have gently scraped with Tetrobreath Tooth Gel on the edge of a tongue cleaner the tongue surface and made sure the tongue was completely coated (see instructions).
We know that many customers, BEFORE they used Tetrobreath, had a permanent white coating on their tongue that actually changed permanently the color of the fibers (the white coating discolors the normally pink colored fibers), and that therefore it sometimes takes several weeks before your tongue looks pink again (as a result of applying the Tetrobreath system).

There are absolutely no negative side effects to use of our products. They are approved by the EPA and as long as they are used according to the directions, everything should be fine.
