Tetrobreath GmbH imports the products from the inventor, dentist Dr. Katz from the USA (the products there are named Therabreath. It is only a different name, the products are identically.

What is the specific of Tetrobreath/ perio therapy?

The scientific studies that Dr. Katz, a bacteriologist and MD dentist in California, performed together with breathclinics in the USA in the 90ies, proved, that bad breath (halitosis) is caused by anaerobic bacteria. These bacteria breed in the mouth, mostly in the tongue papilla and throat. These (beneficial) bacteria, which do not like oxygen, and that every human being has, produce under certain conditions at very high rate odorious sulphur compounds (typical bad breath smell). Science has shown, that this is happening for app. 30% of the population.

Knowing this all, there are 3 main ways to treat bad breath/ halitosis:

1. To cover with candies or chewing gum with a strong smell (mint, etc.). Everyone knows, that this is a very short-term treatment

2. Try to kill the bacteria (worst solution): this is, what most of the products in the market claim to do. Then it is instructed to use the products for a cure for some weeks or to do a break after several weeks of treatment. This treatment causes important disadvantages, the most important ones:
